Look into any large multinational and you’ll find many an unlikely match: L’Oreal buying the Body Shop; Unilever, owners of Ben & Jerry’s; Proctor and Gamble producing Pringles; and now Coca Cola has a stake in Innocent smoothies.

What a difference a century makes- from being stocked, on full view, in pharmacies to being branded “poison sticks”, the cigarette has undergone a radical transformation.

Less Than Jake
You know what, my mum’s brilliant. I’ve often thought it but there’s nothing like a reminder to really make you appreciate someone.
My reminder? Julie Myerson; the face of neurotic, Daily Mail reading, middle- aged women everywhere.
Her long suffering son, Jake, has my full sympathy. The most turbulent years of his teenage life have been chronicled by his “mother dearest” in her book “Living with teenagers; 3 kids, 2 parents, 1 hell of a bumpy ride”.
